In celebration of National Volunteer week, Share Medical Center volunteers were honored with dinner and awards on April 19^th at the Honey Wheat Bed and Breakfast in Alva. In addition to a great meal, the volunteers and staff from the Medical Center and Convalescent Home enjoyed fellowship including Oklahoma Centennial themed trivia.

Among those honored were SMC Auxiliary members: Phyllis Hein, Audrey Presnall, Carol Plummer, Rose Blunk, Fayette Acord, Connie Orifice, Eleanor Pellerin, Doris Joachims and Glenn Cellan. Other volunteers recognized were Don Knox, Kenny Cole, JoAnn Cole, Eleanor Kimbrough, Kim Foster, George Conder, Neva Wilhite, Helen Janzen, Traca Fern Davis, and Jan & Jerry Williams.

Special recognition went to Audrey Presnall who received her “3,000 Hours Bar” and Fayette Acord who received her “600 Hours Bar”. Newcomer Eleanor Pellerin received a “50 Hours Pin” for her service in her first year.

“The volunteers at Share Medical Center make a huge difference in the lives of our patients and residents,” remarked Jean Rose of Share Convalescent Home.
