Healthcare Service Excellence Conference
Regina Wilson, Home Health Director of Nurses and Jamie Olson, Nursing Home Nurse Aide were both honored with nominations for national awards at the 2009 Healthcare Service Excellence Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. Wilson was nominated for Empowering Manager and Olson was nominated for Service Excellence Mentor. Wilson is pictured below with SMC HR Director, Kristi Moorman, in recognition of her nomination. Also awarded at the Healthcare Service Excellence Conference were Breakthrough Awards for nationally recognized improvements in patient/family customer service. Pictured below are Kelly Parker, Marketing Director, and Breauna Overton, Environmental Services, accepting two awards for Emergency Services and Outpatient Surgery from Pat Goodberry-Dycke and Brian Lee of the Healthcare Service Excellence Association. Oklahoma Hospital Association
At the 2009 Oklahoma Hospital Association Convention and Trade Show, Teresa Ray, Hospital Administrative Assistant, was awarded the Spirit of Achievement award. Of all the healthcare workers in the state, fewer than fifty received this distinction. Ray is pictured below being recognized by SMC HR Director, Kristi Moorman. Share Medical Center Leadership Award
Clint Pfleider, Respiratory Therapy Manager is awarded the SMC Leadership award for his dedication to revitalizing respiratory therapy services at SMC including the addition of Sleep Center Services and Durable Medical Equipment in the near future. Additionally, Pfleider has played an integral role in enhancing numerous patient care processes in order to bring about improved overall customer service. The Spirit of Share Medical Center Award
The Spirit of Share Medical Center Award is given to a Share Medical Center employee who exemplifies the heart and soul, and spirit of SMC both in their role at work as well as in the community. Kim Nickelson, Laboratory Manager is the epitome of the customer service program at Share and has been instrumental in bringing some of the largest turnouts ever to our community blood drives. She has also been a vital player in all SMC efforts to inspire the youth in our community to pursue health careers. All of this is overshadowed by the genuine compassion and down-to-earth professionalism she gives each of her patients. Patient/Family Customer Service
Each time a patient uses Share Medical Center Services, there is a chance that they will receive a follow-up satisfaction survey regarding the care they received. Share uses this information to enhance its services and improve ratings. The department with the most improvement during the year receives this award and this year, there were two deserving departments, Inpatient and Radiology. This is the first time that Inpatient services have been recognized for this award, but it is the second year in a row that Radiology services have had the highest improvement. Internal Customer Service Award
The Internal Customer Service Award is given to the department that demonstrates the most improved rating as judged by their peers in other departments. This year, the Nursing Home Social Services department is recipient of the honor. Share Medical Center STARs
Share Medical Center STAR awards are selected by the employees of the medical center anytime they catch someone going above and beyond the call of duty. STAR award recipients demonstrate an "It's my job" attitude and are never too busy to help out however necessary. The employees pictured below are being recognized for having received five STARs from their peers.
