Medical Technologist Medical Technologist Day Shift, Monday - Friday Full Time at Share Medical Center.Medical Technologist
Position is for a Medical Technologist (internal title: Medical Laboratory Scientist) responsible for performing medical laboratory tests, procedures, experiments, and analysis to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Duties include, but are not limited to: Conducts chemical analysis of body fluids such as blood, urine, and spinal fluid to determine presence of normal and abnormal components; Runs and documents routine specimens; Prepares specimens for testing according to procedure; Judging adequacy of submitted specimens following accept/reject policy criteria; Selects correct quality control test to be used in daily testing; Performs stat tests and notifies physician; Completes scheduled Quality Control/Proficiency Testing measure without error; Performs assigned preventative maintenance within identified time; Completes test performance in a manner that results in less than one valid complaint per quarter; Documents all results, quality assurance, and proficiency results correctly in logbook; Documents corrective action taken when quality control results are outside of acceptable limits; Performs blood group, type, and compatibility tests for transfusion purposes; Analyzes test results and enters findings in computer; Verifies instrument function by checking and calibrating specific lab instruments and documents data; Records any repairs in instrument logs, replacement, and maintenance needed of equipment; and inventories and maintains weekly reagent supplies to ensure adequate supply.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology and 3 years of experience.

-Associates degree in radiology technology from an accredited school or two years of experience in a directly related area.
-Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
-Operates radiologic equipment to produce images required for the Radiologist to diagnose the patient.
-Identifies patient services requirements by establishing a personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
-Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
-Schedule and coordinate radiology appointments for patients, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, and mammograms. Ensure appointments are scheduled based on urgency, availability, and patient needs. Confirm appointments with patients and provide necessary pre-appointment instructions.
-Work On-Call shifts as needed including weekend and evening call. Staying onsite if needed or in Alva to maintain a maximum 20 minutes call response time. Must be able to respond as soon as possible for an emergency code.
